Almost an incredible finish. Almost. Both offenses struggled for much of the game, but the Giants took a solid 20-6 lead in the 4th after FB Phil King took an off tackle 30 yards for a two score lead. Staubach and company rallied and mounted a 76 yard drive of their own to pull within seven points with a little ove a minute remaining. After a failed onside kick three Giants running plays ate up the Pokes remaining time outs, and a punt pinned them back at their own seven with 1:07 left. Staubach connected on three passes for 71 yards to put the Cowboys ate the Giants 22 with :01 left, but his desperation throw was knocked down in the End Zone to win for the Giants
