A Heck of a game. Over 1000 yards combined offense were generated by two really dangerous offenses. All of the respective star players, Philip Rivers, LaDainian Tomlinson, Antonio Gates, Matt Schaub, Andre Johnson, and Arian Foster, played like stars, with strong supporting performances from Michael Turner and Owen Daniels. The difference boiled down to three Schaub interceptions, and the fact that in 2006 LaDainian Tomlinson was just special. the two teams were kind of similar in having balanced offenses, good run defenses, and suspect pass defenses, but the Chargers really were and are just better. 2006 Chargers are legit. I hated when the Broncos had to face these guys in real life, and it was pretty brutal trying to beat their electronic representations here. |
