1998 Falcons 30 - 1992 Saints 13

The game was close for a half, as the Saints were able to hang with the powerful 98 Falcons on Bobby Hebert's arm. In te second half however Hebert went cold, and the plodding Saints runnners couldn't even make a dent in the superb Falcons run defense. The Falcons used a balaced attack, with Jamal Anderson grinding out tough yards and Chris Chandler burning the Saints when they tried to stop Anderson. The Falcons racked up 16 second half points and shut out the Saints for a convincing win.

The 1998 Falcons are almost - but not quite - a great team, and it shouldn't be a shock if they can go fairly deep in the tournament. IRL they knocked off a 15-1 team to make the Superbowl, only to lose to an even more complete team in 98 Denver. They run and pass very effectively so long as their iffy pass blocking can keep Chandler upright, and their run defense rivals some of the best, as they are both stingy with yards and force fumbles better than any team in the tournament other than the 2000 Ravens.
