1990 49ers 19 - 1971 Cowboys 16

I made the prediction a while back that before this was done a very good, borderline great old time team would lose due to crappy FG kicking. This game is exhibit "A", as Mike Clark of Dallas flubbed two shortish FG's and the Pokes lost by 3. Clark stinks, frankly, and it makes me wonder if he had a job because they could find any blind wooden legged guys to perform the kicking chores. In essence Clark will hit on about 35% of his kicks outside the 20. The 49ers had the excellent Mike Cofer kicking, the Cowboys had Clark, and that settled that

The game opened with crazy amounts of big play offense for both teams, and then settled down into a FG and field position game
