1977 Broncos 25 - 1957 Browns 22




Tough one for the good guys. In a back-and-forth game that featured a fourth quarter comeback Denver defeated Cleveland by the score of 25 to 22. Craig Morton passed 40 times for 305 yards adding a touchdown.. The game saw 6 lead changes before Denver finally prevailed. The Orange Crush did a great job stifling the Browns offense, but a couple of breakdowns led to a couple of long completions by Cleveland QB Tommy O'Connell including a 72 yard strike to Darrell Brewster

In a back-and-forth game that featured a crowd-pleasing fourth quarter comeback Denver defeated Cleveland by the score of 25 to 22. Craig Morton passed 40 times for 305 yards adding a touchdown. Denver won the air battle out-passing Cleveland 305 to 197 yards. They had the advantage in time of possession, having the ball for 36:12. The game saw 6 lead changes before Denver finally prevailed. Denver was ahead at halftime 10 to 7. Cleveland led after three quarters 14 to 13. A bright spot for Cleveland was a touchdown pass to Darrell Brewster that went for 72 yards with 1:43 left in the 1st quarter. But it was not enough to bring his team a victory..
