2005 Jaguars 29 - 1996 Broncos 28

I should have known. The damned Jagwads would once again prove to be bad Mojo for the 1996 Broncos.

Denver got out of the gates hot, with Elway hitting Shannon Sharpe for a long TD pass, then hitting Ed McCaffrey for another TD pass after a 51 yard punt return by Todd Kinchen. After that things mostly went sideways for the good guys. Jason Elam missed a 21 yard FG attempt. The Broncos surrendered a 31 yard run by the immortal LaBrandon Toefield. Byron Leftwich got hot at all the wrong times, and Denver's offense could not get untracked at all in the Second half.

The Jags took a one point lead with @ two minutes left, and Denver was able to drive to around the Jags 45 before Elway missed on four consecutive passes. That was it. Game over. I had two minutes, three time outs, and should have been able to beat this very marginal invite. The Broncos go home, the Jags will face '04 New England
