2006 Ravens 33 - 1999 Colts 7




As much as everything went right for me in the last game, everything came a-cropper in this. The Colts lost three key fumbles, one each on a punt return, kickoff return, and a strip sack inside the Ravens Red Zone. The Ravens have a brutal defense that was able to bottle up Edgerrin James easily while allowing a young Peyton Manning only short completions. The Ravens offense wasn't especially good, even against a suspect Colts defense, but it controlled the clock, committed no errors, and protected their lead

Game Story

Matt Stover put up some nice numbers as Baltimore pounded Indianapolis by the score of 33 to 7. Stover split the uprights 4 times, including a long one of 49 yards for the winners. Steve McNair threw 28 times for 215 yards and 3 touchdowns. Jamal Lewis led all rushers, carrying the ball 21 times for 86 yards. Baltimore controlled the ground game, out-rushing Indianapolis 126 to 49 yards. They had the advantage in time of possession, having the ball for 34:26.
