1964 Bills 26 - 1983 Raiders 7

The rugged Bills defense shut down the raiders RB's completely, and tormented Jim Plunkett all game long. As of Halftime Plunkett had hit only two passes, and the raiders offense stood at -15 yards passing and -4 yards total offense. Plunkett got untracked in the Second half, but the awful raiders pass blocking continued to look like Toreadors - and by the time the dust had settled Plunkett had been sacked 11 times.

Jack Kemp was adequate, while Cookie Gilchrist ground out over 100 tough yards. The 64 Bills have a secret weapon - Pro Football's first soccer style Kicker, Pete Gogolak, and he provides a splendid long range weapon for a stout defensive team, especially in comparison to other old clubs..
