1996 Panthers 33 - 2004 Eagles 17

This game was far closer than the final score makes it appear. Philly was arguably the stronger team, but 13 penalties and a catastrophic fumble did them in. After closing a 2-3 deficit to 20-17, the Eagles forced the Panthers into a 4th and 8 at the Eagles 38. An offsides penalty on the punt made it 4th and 3 - and the Panthers converted with a 3 yard run by Anthony Johnson, leading to a 38 yard Kasay FG. After a 3 and out from the Eagles, the Panthers regained the ball and moved into Philly territory around the 40 before the drive stalled. A perfect coffin corner punt gave the eagles the ball at the one yard line, down by six and with three minutes left - plenty of time for McNabb and company. On first down however McNabb scrambled and fumbled the ball at the line of scrimmage. Recovery by the Panthers set up a QB sneak and a 30-16 lead. The next drive saw a 4 and out for Philly and a Panthers FG to finish the scoring.

McNabb had a superb 3rd quarter, and the Eagle outgained the Panthers, but a few errors turned the game against them.
