2004 Patriots 38 - 1991 Bills 35

Absolutely crazy game, with a second quarter that almost defies description. The game entered the second with a 7-0 Patriots lead. By the end of the second quarter the Bills had amassed over 300 yards of offense, scored 20 points, Thurman Thomas was over 100 yards with threeruns over 20 - and the Bills were down by 15.

How? Mostly terrible special teams play. Scott Norwood missed a FG wide left and had an XP blocked. The Bills also suffered a blocked punt leading to a TD, then fumbled away the ensuing kickoff. Throw in a Jim Kelly interception and it added up to 28 more points for the Pats. The Bills closed to within 3 in the late 4th quarter, but That was as close as they would get.

In addition to awful special teams the Bills suffered from their soft as a babies ass run defense trying to stop Corey Dillon. This was extremely frustrating, as Tom Brady was by necessity left alone most of the game and played very well. The Bills are an exciting team but not a great team; the '04 Pats just might be great.
