1966 Chiefs 27 - 1963 Giants 24

The Chiefs were able to hold off the magnificent Y.A. Tittle and the 63 Giants on the strength of three timely interceptions and a 91 yard punt return by Mike Garrett. The Giants could muster almost no running game against Stram's defense, but Tittle threw for over 400 yards as the Giants kept battling back.

One feature of old time teams is that most of them them force turnovers at a hair-raising rate compered to modern teams - and tend to be sloppy with ball security. A lot of this is because the passing game is much more geared towards long passing. Even so, this excellent Giants team is less prone than most of the era to turn it over - but the Chiefs are ball hawks extraordinaire, and they got enough to win the game.
