2009 Saints 45 - 2006 Chargers 33

Another offensive slugfest, in which Drew Brees' destruction of the Chargers pass defense overshadowed the remarkable 233 yard rushing output for San Diego. Philip Rivers was just a little erratic, and the Chargers were stopped often enough for the Saints to prevail. Pierre Thomas of the Saints was almost as explosive as Brees and the passing attack, and they kept the pressure on San Diego all game long.

These are two remarkably powerful offensive teams, and a good match for each other. Both are balanced attacks, with the Chargers run heavy and the Saints pass heavy, but both able to attack all areas of the field.
