| The 49ers took a lead after a second quarter TD, and then the Chiefs scored the next 31 points in a dominating performance. The Niners seemed to play the entire first quarter in Chiefs territory, and got nothing for their troubles. After that they were victimized by their own weak running attack, some bad breaks, and Joe Montana's awful outing. Throw in some clutch passing from Len Dawson, the explosive Otis Taylor, and a blocked punt and the game was a debacle. The Chiefs will face the '59 Giants for the bracket championship. |
