1977 Broncos 18 - 1979 Steelers 13

A magnificent day for the Broncos receiver corps. Haven Moses, Rick Upchurch, Jack Dolbin, and Riley Odoms each contributed a key big yardage reception at a key point in the game, helping Craig Morton to some sterling numbers in limited attempts. I limited Mortons attempts to avoid the Steelers interception rate and especially their pass rush - because the 77 Bronc's pass blocking is rated as low as is possible in this game system. Under the circumstances - a 9 point lead most of the game - I was willing to concede 3rd and long situations and play field position, depending on the Orange Crush defense to maintain the lead.

Terry Bradshaw played well for his part, but the Orange Crush stifled the Steelers running attack all game long, including a great goal line stand where Franco Harris was stuffed by Randy Gradishar on a 4th and goal at the one.
