1966 Cowboys 29 - 1964 Bills 16

The Bills started hot, moving the ball well on their first drive, only to have Cookie Gilchrist cough it up at the Dallas six. The Bills sacked Don Meredith on 3rd and 10 for a Safety for the lead. The Cowboys scored a TD on their next possession with a 34 yard TD run by versatile HB Dan Reeves, but on the Bills next possession Jack Kemp hit dangerous WR Elbert Dubenion with a 58 yard bomb, then connected with a short TD pass. That was
pretty much the last appearance the Buffalo offense would make all game. Dallas scratched out four FGs and a late TD against the solid Bills defense, and the Bills got a late consolation TD on a punt return by Ed Rutkowski, and that was that.

This Dallas team, remember, is the one that was in the record books for most points over the first four games. They are a touch erratic, though, and depend on big plays much more than on a methodical ball control attack. A dangerous team anyway you look at it, because their defense is rock solid.

But it was not enough to bring his team a victory..
