1998 Falcons 31 - 2000 Titans 21

If you stake a stronger opponent to a 14 point lead courtesy of two fumbles early in the game you are likely to lose, and there is almost othing that will take the wind out of your sails quite like surrendering a TD and then fumbling the ensuing kickoff. Steve McNair put in a good performance, but the Titans have a ball control offense poorly suited to playing catch up. The terrifying Falcons run defense played their part as well, holding Eddie George in check and forcing a total of three lost fumbles, and the Titans suffered a fourth on a kickoff return.

Falcons QB Chris Chandler is very very good if he can play with his ground game established, and not so much if Jamal Anderson can't get moving. This was almost an ideal game for him, as he had a lead and could get the time to hit his big play receivers pretty consistently. He threw three interceptions, but they generally were about as harmless as turnovers can be. The 98 Falcons are legit.
